Eggs 101: Master Every Style with This Easy Guide

If you've never cooked before and you just unboxed your Cumin Co. No. 8 Enamel-Coated Pan welcome! This is the easiest, most satisfying first step into the world of cooking: making eggs.

You don't need fancy skills or gadgets. Just a few minutes, one pan, and the confidence that comes from cookware that's designed to do the hard work for you.

What You Need

  • 1 Egg
  • 1 teaspoon oil or butter
  • 1 Spatula (wooden or silicon, NO metal)
  • Cumin Co. Pan

Step-by-Step: Let's Cook

Step 1: Pre-heat on Stove (3-4 Mins)

Place your No. 8 pan on the burner and turn the heat to medium-low. Do not add any oil and pre-heat the empty pan.

Tip: Hover the hand above the pan. If it feels hot, your pan is probably ready.

Step 2: Add a little oil or butter (10-15 Seconds).

Add 1 teaspoon of oil or a small spoon of butter. Swirl it gently so it coats the bottom of the pan. Wait 10-15 seconds.

Tip: When tiny bubbles start to form in your oil or butter, your pan is  ready.

Step 3: Crack the egg into the pan (2-3 Mins).

Crack the egg into a bowl first if you're nervous, then gently slide it into the pan.

  • For a runny yolk (sunny side up): Cook for 2-3 minutes without flipping.
  • For a firmer yolk (over-easy): You'll flip in the next step.

Step 4: Wait for the edges to brown.

Be patient. Dont poke or flip yet. Watch for the egg whites to turn firm and the edges to turn golden brown.

Tip: Egg will naturally lift off the pan once its crispens. If its still stuck, its not ready yet.

Step 5: Turn off the heat and serve.

Lift the egg gently with your spatula and place it on a plate. You're done and your egg looks (and tastes) amazing.

Cleaning Tips (Quick & Easy)

  • Let the pan cool before washing
  • Use soft sponges without any steel wool in them
  • You can use any kind of cleaning liquid
  • No need for scrubbing let any stuck bits soak.
  • Dry completely before storing to avoid rust on the edges.

Pro Tip: For very difficult bits, put 2 Tbsp baking soda and 1.5 glass water in the pan and let it boil for ~1min. Let it cool and wash with regular liquid and sponge.
